Website Content Audit  for Blue Sky CAD

Case Study: Website Content Audit

Client: Blue Sky CAD Limited

The Brief:

Mark Burnett, the director of Blue Sky CAD Limited, and I are both members of the same fun and friendly property-related networking group. One evening, Mark shared that he wanted to refresh his website but wasn’t sure where to start.

He told me that there were links and sections on show that were no longer applicable, opportunities he felt he were missing and that it just needed ‘something’.

Our chat quickly evolved, and before long, Mark asked me to conduct a detailed Website Content Audit to help him make those changes.

The Process:

With contracts signed and fees and deadlines agreed, I arranged a follow-up chat with Mark to dig a little deeper into his vision for Blue Sky CAD Limited.

We talked about his journey so far, the projects that get him and his team genuinely excited, and the type of work they’d love to do more of. I also asked Mark to share his thoughts on the kind of clients he wanted to attract and how he hoped the website could support the business as it grew. We even touched on social media—what he enjoyed using, what he found helpful, and how it could tie in with the website’s content.

From there, I got stuck into a detailed appraisal of the website, going through every page and section with a fine-tooth comb. I looked at what was working, what felt a little tired or outdated, and where small tweaks could make a big difference. I also thought about potential new content that could help the website work harder for the business and make it more appealing to the right clients.

Once I’d gathered all my insights, I then wrote a clear, straightforward report that laid out my observations and offered practical suggestions for improvement. My aim was to make it as easy to action as possible. I sent the report to Mark and then arranged a meeting with his team, including his social media manager, to walk them through my findings. This gave everyone the chance to ask me questions, share their thoughts, and feel confident about taking the next steps.

The Outcome:

After our meeting, Mark reached out to let me know he had already implemented several of my recommendations. He felt far more confident about his website’s role in supporting his business. The audit also gave him a much clearer sense of direction and a wealth of actionable ideas to consider for the future.

Since then, Mark has asked me to write a new ‘About Us’ page for his team and create LinkedIn content to continue building on the progress he’s made. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how the Website Content Audit has made a tangible difference, and I’m excited to continue supporting Mark and his team as they grow.
